Becoming Whole: An exploration of the Inner Shadow


Becoming Whole is a unique opportunity to come together in an intimate group for a 2-session exploration of Self. Based on Carl Jung’s theory of the Inner Shadow, we will be guided through a process that will expand our perception of ourselves and the world around us. Through a combination of lecture, interactive discussion and yoga, Becoming Whole will offer tools to take our self-discovery to a new level. We will learn that by allowing parts of ourselves to exist, we gain freedom from self-imposing limitations and access to our power center. We will feel lighter in our everyday life and will build a new intimacy in our relationships. Each participant will come away from this workshop empowered with the tools to support a structured and ongoing study of Self.

So, what is the Inner Shadow?

The Inner Shadow represents a subconscious part of our personality or our hidden self. When neglected, the Shadow becomes the saboteur–causing problems in our relationships or keeping us stuck in unhelpful patterns. When embraced, the Shadow supports us in having a deeper connection with others; we get a rare glimpse of ourselves: we are able to see into our blind-spots allowing us a chance to expand our view of ourselves and the world around us.

Where did our shadow come from?
How does it show up in our lives today?
And, how do we integrate it back into wholeness?

These are the questions we are going to explore in this three-week journey to Becoming Whole. We invite you to join us.

This in-depth workshop is a 2-session program designed to support self-study in a group of individuals. We will continue with the same group throughout the 2-sessions.

The series includes:

  • 2, two hour face-to-face group meetings using a combination of lecture, yoga and interactive discussions. These meetings will be packed with valuable content and experiential process to inform and expand your awareness of the Inner Shadow.
  • Individual coaching calls are available at a discounted rate for one month following the final group session (2). This includes discounts on any multi-session packages purchased.

Session 1 -The Disowning Process & Identifying Our Shadow
Saturday, November 5, 2016, 1-3 p.m.
This is an introduction to the Inner Shadow. We will take a look at what the Shadow is and where it came from. This session will start the process of awareness. In-between session 1 and 2 we will be commissioned to go out into the world and look for clues of the Shadows around us. Through our relationship with others, we will learn the tools to identify our disowned parts.

Session 2- Becoming Whole
Saturday, November 12, 2016, 1-3 p.m.
In this session we will learn the process of understanding and integrating our shadow parts.

Becoming Whole will be held at It’s All Yoga in Sacramento.
